How to protect the card box?

Hey guys,

I wasn't wondering if there is an proper way of protecting the card box while it's in your pocket? I've been using Zach Mueller's Vintage holdout and I hate ruining a box because I use it so much. Do you guys have any tips on keeping it safe?

I don't know if there is necessarily a proper way, but personally, I use the cheaper card clips that E sells, the ones that aren't Porpers. They aren't very good at keeping your cards clamped and completely flat, but they do provide a metal frame for the card box as it sits in your pocket, and unlike Porpers they don't crush the box if its empty.

(I'm taking this question to mean the empty box while you're using the cards. If you are talking about the box while the cards are in it, then ignore everything I just said, and get a Porper clip.)

I think Jamie Grant's 'The Vault' can be used to effectively protect and hold an empty or full card box, as an alternative to the porper variation.

Well, I personally use protective metal cases from China stores (from 4 -7 $). I wont post links here but search for " Poker Playing Cards Deck" on DX for example.
