Hey guys I have recently put out some of my pet moves with the magical sleight guys!

You can check out the trailer here :

http://magicalsleight.com/product/Downloads/32

Contents

Royal symphony: During this beauty display, a royal flush appears at your fingertips.
Composition: A colour change where one card melts into another, while raised of the deck.
Carmen: An incredibly deceptive four for four switch, a tribute to Carmen D'amico.
Sky: a switch that happens in mid air, previously only shown to a select few, well worth the practice.
Bonus : Cloaked reversal : A card reversal, that happens while the card remains out jogged.

Proud to offer something back to the community that has been very good to me, enjoy :)

Kind regards

I'm a bit confused.

I'm trying not to be a jerk, but how is Carmen any different than the 4for4 switch sold here? Also, I'm pretty sure that royal flush production has been done by a lot of people, though you may be the first person trying to actually sell it.

Hi ChristopherT, thanks for your response I appreciate it. In that shot I can see how the outward appearance looks like Kenners move, but mechanically it's vastly different. Without exposing the mechanics it's literally a polar opposite! I'm a massive fan of the four for four switch and ways to finesse the move. I loved Benjamin Earls refinements to the technique published on his DVD set ' Past midnight'.
In his handling it looks the cards never touch the deck as their switched. I wanted to apply the same ideology to a sleight of Carmen D'amicos I was learning at the time. Having toyed with methods by John Mendoza, Robert Moreland, Kenner, Earl, Aaron fisher, Kostya Kimlat and a few others this has come to be my preferred method! I've done my homework and believe the mechanics are original enough to warrant publication! I wish I could show you in person :)

And it's an interesting story about the royal flush production, I have looked everywhere and never seen this handling. I published this in an ebook called 'technical difficulties' back in 2006/7 through the merchant of magic. Back then their wasn't a lot of flourishes around. I'd seen capaso casino do one on recapped and wanted a smoother handling. So it's been published a long time, just thought I'd bring it up to the surface again for the modern audience to see . Denis Behr kindly let me describe his ace production that you see at the start of the trailer.
I'm a massive fan of crediting and providing credit where it's due, if you have an earlier reference by all means ill provide credit appropriately! And magical sleight are a very knowledgeable group and only publish stuff of the highest caliber!

Hope that has wandered your question fully! Any other questions feel free to PM buddy, as I don't want to expose anything and annoy anyone who has already bought the download :)

Kind regards

I don't have a name, it's just something I see frequently when watching videos. Usually preceded by the phrase, "Do you want me to do this the fast way or the slow way?"

Ok, I'll take your word that it's mechanically different. What advantage does this switch have over the 4for4 switch? Without exposing, of course.

Ah ok yeah I thought it would be great for like a progressive poker routine, produce a single, pair the finish with the production etc :)

Well I suppose it comes down to personal preference! It's an extremely fun method , equally as deceptive can be executed with people sat on your left stating at the deck! Over shoulder etc and they won't see a thing :) sky is also a fun method! Also published In magic!
So both moves accomplish a switch of four cards, but new methods inspire creativity and could lead to variants that may drastically improve existing effects or lead to the creation of new ones . It's a project I am very proud of and it represents good value at like 2 dollars per move.

Kind regards

I quite like this little collection, the color change feels a bit like the Bertram change. The four-ace production to royal flush production is a fun idea as well, nice moves.

I love these effects, but a few of them seem quite obvious, such as producing a Royal Flush or four Aces (i.e. previous card placement in the deck), but the changes look incredible! I hope I am able to purchase this soon :)

I remember reading your reversal in magic magazine ages ago mate, it's a really fun move and I still play with it a lot! I will endeavour to pick this up after i've moved house etc, I personally think that 4for4 switch looks smooth as butter!

I'm glad you like the change! I have a colour changing deck routine that uses the move! Ill shoot a video sometime :) the royal flush doesn't have to be done the way it was demonstrated that was just a potential routine you can use it for. I believe both switches are extremely deceptive and the thing with the 4for4
Switches are that the spectators wouldn't be looking at your hands while you execute the sleights .

The reverse is a fun move and I believe sky has also been published in the August 2013 issue of magic mag, you can also do the opposite of the reverse and use it to hide the back of a card to reveal a different coloured back!

Good application! I like to combine it with a one card pass type thing after the steal, works like a convincing bottom placement, can't even remember if that was an application you included in magic mag or if it's something I just started doing while playing with the move? haha.

That's the reversal in the context of the inversion routine. My favourite combination is in conjunction with the Ryan nyquest ribbon spread hide out, letting the spectator square the deck and then spread again to reveal their selection :)

And also to those who subscribe / buy magic magazine, sky is taught in the talk about tricks column, titled ' in flight switch' in the August 2013 issue .

Hope you enjoy it!
