Do you guys know any free mentalism tricks to start out with? I am just starting mentalism but
am very experienced with cards

Since you are experienced with cards, you could always force cards and then either predict or "mind read" the selected from a spectator. Another mentalism practice you can use with cards is equivoque down to a predicted selected card.

'All seeing eye' by Dan Harlan is pretty good and also quite simple. If you can do simple sw*****s then your fine. Also one that I perform regularly is Kolossal Killer by Kenton Knepper which is a thought of card in wallet type effect.
