In the not to distant future
i recently purchased past midnight by benjamin earl. i have to say that this is one of the best dvds i have seen in a while. Ben is an excellent teacher and goes through every move in detail. there are some moves which you should know such as culling, classic pass, 4for4 switch, zarrow shuffle and palming. almost all of the tricks are very easy to do with practice. i highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in card magic. my favourite effects have to be shades of hofzine,r the stroke change, and mental voyage. lots of the tricks on the gambling dvd are very useful for creating tricks and for everday magic use like the faro false shuffle and the palming techniques. the effects taught are as follows.
disc one commercial - over 1 hour
collectors 1, collectors 2, open triumph, ace assembly, shades of hofziner, prophecy shift, soft spread production, stroke change, pop over move, loose double lift, streamlined control, side faro false shuffle, chrisbuckgreenhoff & sybil show, kolyvargin, aston, full suit prediction

disc two - gambling - over one hour
card control/prediction sequence, psychological shuffle, broken thompson cut, middle card spin out, blind cut technique, 4D discovery, pluckey, sow by the lug, riverboat hamony, house rules, bottom deal, grey shuffle, erdnase productions, one hand shifts, discrepancy switch, palming techniques.

disc three - psychological - about one hour
ramjollok pseudo brainwave, mental voyage, thought of card in pocket, peek techniques, lookaway glimpse, sas, intuitive poker 1, intuitive poker 2, two card transpo, playing the odds.

oh the stroke change haha. what a wonderful move. i cant get it near as good as he does for the face up change. i usually just use it for top card placement. every once in a while i get that really nice change which will fool me though. i love practicing all the tricks from the dvds
