Problems with the deck flip

Well recently i've been trying to perfect the deck flip. When i let go of my 3 fingers nothing happens or i end up playing 52 card pick up. Can anyone explain to me how i could fix this.

You might want to try practicing with the cards in the box, it definitely helped me.

exactly, try with the cards in the box... When you master that, use only the cards, try to use very worn cards cause new ones are very "buttered", but once you have mastered with the worn cards, you'll do with any type of cards. Good luck.
