Here's one of my fondest summer memories...

Every summer my family went to the East Coast of the US to visit my grandfather. When I was ten, my parents let me bring my best friend with me on that summer trip. We learned to drive tractors, had bonfires, went to the beach and saw our first jellyfish, tried taffy together for the first time, made each other laugh so hard we cried and got hiccups, and just made core memories. She passed away a few years ago and even though I miss her every single day, I have incredible memories like that summer vacation to look back on with lots of love.

Thanks! And I couldn't agree more, the contest was insanely wholesome! It was amazing to read about everyone's experiences and memories. Plus it was nice to stop and think about fond memories created with friends and family. A nice reminder to maybe do it more, once in a while
