The Evolution Of Magic (Drama Solo)

Hey Boys and Girls.

Interesting assessment we have been set in my Drama class. This is our last year and it is the first time we've ever done this.... Solo Performance.

So basically, what we have to do is an 8 minute drama performance, on a theme/topic/person/whatever of our choice. And an idea I've had is doing the Evolution of Magic.

I thought about showing how magic has progressed and changed. And the different types of characters we have seen. 3 characters I've thought of at the moment, with their own very different styles are; Tommy Cooper, David Copperfield and David Blaine.

So I was wondering if you guys could think of any body and there type of style?

Cheers, Tom

I agree with dragon521. You could talk about people such as Cardini or Ed marlo, then compare them to today's equivelents. :)

I would go from Houdini, Cardini, Dai Vernon and all the way past David Blaine, up to the Buck Twins , Cyril, etc.

Oh dude!!! you can act as "Alexander The Man Who Knows" and have like huge eyes!! He looks pretty scary when i stare at him.
