A New York Police Department spokesman reports that Heath Ledger has been found dead in his Manhattan apartment. Around 3:31 PM, he was found by his house keeper and a masseuse, who found Ledger unresponsive on the floor of his bedroom. No foul play is suspected. Police believe that drugs may have been involved, as pills were found around the body.
The 28 year old actor, who has starred in many films, is survived by his 2 year old daughter.

His death is an absolute tragedy. He was one of the finest young actors around, in my opinion, and will be missed dearly.
I read that the pills found near him were over the counter sleep medication. Obviously Heath was having a hard time sleeping, so the pills could be nothing at all. Yet again, they could also be the reason of his death.
It's also possible that he had a heart attack or something similar. My friend's aunt recently died, and she had no past conditions or problems. Sometimes these things happen, and they are always tragic. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

This is one of those times that I felt sick to my stomach hearing the news. At first I thought he was found overdosed or something, and I immediately thought that he needed help, but he'd be fine....but when I heard he was found DEAD.....it's like a cold rush went through my body.
I didn't know him personally, but I think he was a fantastic actor. I am also 28, and so that part kind of hit home. I really hope that it was an accidental death or something unexpected...I always think suicides are so horrible. Having gone through a really bad depression (which sometimes comes back now and then) I know what feeling really down is like.

it mite seem kinda rude(and i am sorry) but if he used drugs(non perscription), then i have no respect for him...what a shame to have an overdose
I always have such a hard time with death. I've found myself repeatedly searching his name on Google news, because I don't really believe it. Even though I've only seen a few of his movies and obviously don't know him personally, it really hit me hard. I am very sad to hear this news.
