theory11 — Magic Tricks & the World's Finest Playing Cards

Tricks

Not for a professional, but if these two effects are effects that you have the presentation "mastered", then go for it and gradually learn more. It's better to learn a few at a time and really get them down (the sleights and the presentatin) than learn a whole bunch of sleights/effects at one time and perform them badly.

Have a walkaround routine with around 4-6 effects.
Have a table routine, also with 4-6 effects.
That's if you're a budding pro. When you go full pro, you would need at least three routines each of walkaround and table.

Depends on what tricks. If they are two high impact, mind-blowing tricks, then yeah two tricks is enough. But if they are "pick a card, any card...Now, return it to the deck...now, I'm going to find your card (magician looks through deck and slowly pulls out selected card) is this your card?" Then no, two effects is not enough, and I would suggest expanding your repertoire.

NO!
Two tricks are NEVER enough....okay maybe those two tricks can just get you known.
But after that you still need show you spectators what you're worth.
