There is a friend of mine here at college that wants to do a magic special for the college tv station. I was just wondering if it was alright if he did effects that weren't created by him? He is asking me to help him out and I wanted to make sure. I wasn't sure if this is considered broadcasting, since it will not be shown anywhere other than the college tv station, and if there are any issues with performing effects such as Panic in his special.

As far as I know, if you buy a trick, you should be able to perform it anytime, anywhere, to anyone. I have seen other TV shows where people do Witness and other things, it's OK!

Hope this helps, I would wait until someone backs me up just in case, don't take my word for it!

If you bought and paid for the trick - and the trick did not disclose a television rights reserved restriction PRIOR to your purchase - then you are free to use it.
