Jerry's Nuggets... So?

I am just wondering what is supposed to be the big deal with these Nugget cards? It's certainly not looks. They look cheap. Like the decks they sell at the dollar store.

The website description says they were printed up for the casino but never used. Okay. So basically, If I print up a million cards and never sell them, let them sit for a while and then some hot shot online magic store tells everybody how rare they are, even though they're just regular cards, makes them invaluable?

Is that about the gist? No thanks. I'll take cards that I like over cards somebody tells me are valuable.

they are rare because somone bought up literally THOUSANDS of decks when they started to sell them and uses them for himself

The are valuble because they are used by many famous magicians, the DO feel nice (Speaking from experience. I'm not some guy who says that they feel nice because everyone else says that they do) and they look nice. they are also caluble because they also LOOK nice

speaking of how they look like dollar store cards: they used to be sold for a dollar before they sold out haha.

Actually 50 cents I believe. In order for them to be rare, there has to be a major demand for them.

When you hold them in your hand they feel stiff. Especially when you do sybil. They're great for arials and just flourishes in general. They just feel sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better. When you hold them, you'll look like this.... and then when you own them, you'll look like this.....

wow, nobody knows this???

Ok they were made in 1970 and were sold to the jerrys nugget casino. they were never used and were sold at the gift shop there.

They have a chemical finish that has now been banned due to enviornmental reasons. They also have extremly thick stock, so the more you use them , the stronger yourr hands get

Haha, Jerry's Nuggets have one of the thinnest stocks in the world. They just feel thick. ;)

No. In order for something to be rare, there has to be a very little number of them in existence. There are lots of Jerry's Nugget decks around (obviously not for sale, but around nonetheless). They are not rare. They are simply a collectors item due to their perceived rarity.

What you are saying is similar to saying that since there's a major demand for electricity (because we basically need it to live nowadays) then electricity is rare. Hardly. I can produce electricity by passing a magnet over a coil of wire. Wanna buy my magnet and coil for $200?

Alright here is the real story. After that someone bought all the deck the price didn't skyrocket to the prices of today. I heard from people that bought them that after they were bought they used to cost about 10-15 dollars. Then a few years ago the buck twins started to use jerries on there dvd he system. Then all the fanboy's went crazy and wanted to buy some. AS time went on the demand went up and so did the price. Jerry's are crap cards. Imagine trying to crease a card but it suddenly cracks. They are a waste of money.

Has anybody actually beaten that Jerry's Nuggets solitaire? I've been plaing for 2 weeks now. Doesn't seem winnable!

It is winnable. but for those of you who aren't playing with a full deck of Jerry's Nuggets, I have a solution for you.

*Email me at here with your name, what card(s) you think were missing from your game, and who your favorite member of the Jackson 5 is. You may have more than one favorite, which is cool.

Do that, and I will send you the goods.

My apologies for the troubles.

If you say so. To me this game plays more like poker. It's kind of hard to finish when most of the time I'm dealt 4 2's, 4 8's. One game I even got stuck after only 4 moves. I've never had trouble playing solitaire before.
