Several times I have thought up with things that I havn't seen before, but what to do with them. Would it be possible to send a short video of just the performance of the effet for review by the theory11 staff to be made into a 1on1. I think that this would be the best place for this because I have yet to find a site (aside from D&D) that have a constant well maintained 1on1 sesions to help out the magic comunity. I can see many holes in this plane and have come prepared to address them.
1) Many people would want to send videos over and over again and there would just be way to many videos to sort through.
A. Have a limit of one video for every couple of months to stem the flow of entries. May be a lot to ask but have some sort of thing on the persons profile that keeps count of the videos being submitted and prevents them from adding more than one during the time limit.
2) People would want to rip off of other magicians of effects that they have seen.
A. The video wanting to be sent in must first be posted in the media section for "prescreening" where other members can post wether the effect has already been created.
3) Money $$
A. I don't know where the procides from the other 1on1's go if it is not presented by a staff member, but I am sure that the people submittng the videos would not have a problem letting the money got to Theory11 in exchange for the publisity the 1on1 would give ( I know that I wouldn't mind as it would go to bettering the site).
If the video is wanted to be turned into a 1on1 then a tutorial can be sent in and a member from Theory11 can teach the video from there themselves.These are the major problems that I can see but I am sure that they are easily rectified as with any others that may come up. I just think that only submiting our ideas to the media section would allow for them to be overlooked. I think that if they were to go on the 1on1 section than that would allow for the furthering of careers as well as many ideas that would be avaliable to others. I really hope that this will be taken seriously and that the staff at Theory11 will read this and give this serious though as I am sure that many other magician have fantastic never before seen ideas that would be perfect for this.
