theory11 — Magic Tricks & the World's Finest Playing Cards

Lapse Daniel Madison

Very nice.

I also do a trick once in a while ....

I also have a dup. card in my deck for basic transpo. effects and i like to use it for lapse sometimes ....

haha cool man. I always keep a dupe in every deck i use because there's just so many more impossible things you can do with a dupe!

I intepret "dup. card" as duplicate card. Pardon me I'm wrong in this interpretation. However, I own the DVD Dangerous and Lapse does not make use of a duplicate card.

Nonetheless, I liked the way Casey presented Lapse, I feel that your double can be more natural. (not that it's bad, it's nice, just that it could be a tad smoother) Overall it's a nice presentation.

Well done, liked the handling. My handling is the exact same as in DVD and his book ("One", if I'm not mistaken). It's when the spectator tells you when to stop when you riffle through the pack, and he finds the card that was in your pocket. I like this version more, but your is awesome, too.

thanks guys :) and yeah, the double in the beginning was kind of not so smooth. It was kind of one of those random fumble ups I think we all have :P

Take the double from the center. That way you it doesn't look as suspicious as it does right now. It will look a lot cleaner and smoother. It will also be consistent with the way you get the second selected card.

Also, work on the last move, I'm trying not to expose haha. You flash a little bit on it though (re-watched, and it's not as noticeable as I'm making it seem), so watch out for that. The camera is unforgiving so make sure you re-watch what you've done before posting a video. I know what to look for, so that might be why I saw and heard something.

If I wasn't clear on any of my points you can PM me. I love this effect and use it once in a while.

Good Job :D
