Any recommended Montes?

I was going through the several magic shops, but there are so many montes that I am having trouble picking the best one.
Any sort of recommendation would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
David.

Color Monte. Had actually pulled it out last night and performed it for my wife and son -- they loved it. It has a humorous presentation and a completely unexpected ending.

Thanks, however this seems quite a lot like the this n' that card trick (I think that's what it's called) which i already perform. It has a really good presentation. You might want to check out a performance, since you already know the secret. it's very fun to do.

Color Monte is wonderful. If you're looking to learn a classic monte, there are a ton of resources on the moves. Back in the day I used to love the pea/shell game - a haven't done that in years. I purchased stand up monte (G. Thomas) but never took the time to learn it, but it got stellar reviews.

I always loved the presentation of Colour Monte but never really got on with the handling. Always found the alignment move a bit of a weird thing. Still, it seems to work so I guess that's more my problem than a problem with the trick...

I personally love Michael Skinner's Ultimate 3 Card Monte. Not ashamed to say it fooled me first time I saw it performed (by Michael Ammar). I have spent the best part of 5 years playing around with various handlings and presentations. Saying that, the basic handling is very easy.

Paul Gordon's 'Corner of Picadilly' is also quite good. It uses four cards rather than three, but it has a great kicker. Handling is also quite easy assuming you know your basic sleights (Elmsley Count etc). I've never performed it myself, but I can see it playing very well for an audience.

Agreed. That move shouldn't fly by anyone... but it does. I do the alignment before I say "then it is the top card." That puts a pause between the alignment and the turnover.

Thanks! The stand up monte looks really cool. The Ultimate 3 Card Monte looks cleaner, which it may be.
Overall I think I'm going to go with the stand up monte, and perhaps I'll do a bit of the colour monte, since it seems to be quite different to a normal monte. I agree with Rev and RealityOne saying that the handling is a bit weird. I'll see if I can avoid the fishy handing.

Oh yes I forgot about the Ultimate 3 Card monte - very fun.
I perform color monte routine with a 2 of hearts, a 2 of spades and a joker. I should bust that out more. I often forget about it.
