Hey guys!
So I created a trick a while back. It requires me to lap a card (while the deck is in full view of the spectator). Obviously, I can do a palm and reach the final end goal, but it changes the trick a lot and is not as clean looking. As I was perfecting the trick, and going over several lapping methods, I wondered "How would I perform this in walk around?".
So what would you guys do to lap something (coin, card, anything) in a walk around environment (with a table)? Do you guys think it is ok to drop the card on the ground and make up an excuse to pick it up later while the audience is misdirect, maybe even into a case if I have one? What about simply pull up a chair if there aren't to many people? And yes, I could palm off a card/coin and ditch it in my pocket, but you cannot do that for every effect (like an impromptu coin through table, where the borrowed coin is the one that will appear through the table, so you can't exactly ditch it. You could do a false transfer, but I'm talking primarily towards specific moves and ethics.
