Near Field Communication (NFC) Idea

Has anyone else had this idea?

Sticking an NFC adhesive sticker inside of a card box, or putting one inside of a playing card. You can use a phone app to write data to these stickers, and when the sticker is touched to your NFC enabled phone it triggers things of your choosing such as opening a web URL, sending a text message, playing a sound...anything really. I will give it some time to see what ideas I can come up with. What do you guys think? Where else could these stickers or NFC tags be applied?

What about doing an effect where a card is lost into a shuffled deck and put back into the box. Then the phone scans the box (using a tag inside the box) and it brings up a number on the screen. The box is opened and dealt down that number of cards to their chosen card.
