Cirque du Soleil has confirmed this report on the Steve Friess blog that the opening of the new show "Believe" at Luxor starring Criss Angel has been delayed due to "technical difficulties." Cirque has offered no further details. Instead of having a grand opening in September, the event has been moved to October, for now.
This is the latest problem for a show that has been generating its share of controversy, mostly centered around the behavior of star Criss Angel.
According to the Review-Journal: "The move will affect 14 shows that already were on sale. Early birds, mostly from Angel’s fan club, will be given corresponding seats at other performances or get refunds if they can’t be in town on the new night. Anyone holding tickets should call 1-800-557-7428.
