Its basically the maneuver done in at the beginning of a Pull-through shuffle, and then you do some other crap to get the cards on top. Theres also one in By Forces Unseen, but i like the CC one more.
Martin Nash's one is in By Forces Unseen but the way the cards are squared are different, the underlying principle though, is the same. I must say I prefer the way Mr Nash does it, can't ask for a much fairer way!
Erdnase has what is essentially a tabled multiple shift under the heading "Ordinary Methods of Stocking, Locating and Securing", where he describes a technique in which cards are jogged and then controlled with a running cut.
