    I am very sad

Someone tried to bring you down? Eff him. And here's the secret... Obviously being able to deal with hecklers is an AMAZING thing to be able to do and comes with experience and is quite a great quality in any performer, not only magicians. HOWEVER...know what? If the guy was constantly heckling...

Board games / Card games for magicians?

I honestly think ANY board-game is great for magicians if it uses counters. Why? Because it facilitates something spelled C-H-E-A-T-I-N-G with sleight of hand. JOKES apart, I think as such, chess would be pretty good. But I don't think I have heard any MAGICIAN-SPECIFIC games.

    Performance vs Other Magicians

Option A Because I do magic for my audience, not the magicians.

Is exposure a significant problem in magic?

Hmm...knowing how many replies your previous thread generated, I think this topic has been THOROUGHLY discussed, for the time being. Yet for the sake of replying maybe...Exposure is not a problem at all in magic. I have seen people who see magic tutorials (click-bait,they did not ask for it)...

Who do you think is the best magic teacher today?

Yup, Sankey teaches really well. But I think that would be for those who are InsideDeception members. And understandable too, he needs to earn right? (no sarcasm) In YT, he kind of skims through the important sleights, so I need to do extra research on it. Not a bad thing I suppose, but still...

    Good magic book suggestions?

Not many books. I have Bobo's coin magic, RRTCM, Paul Zenon's Street Magic, Tom Ogden's 'The Complete Idiot's Guide to Street Magic, Anneman's Practical Mental Magic, Karl Fulves' Self-working Mental Magic. I was thinking of buying Dynamo's recently released book and Tricks of the Mind when I...

Who do you think is the best magic teacher today?

Asad Chaudhry (52 Kards) Vinh Giang Chris Ramsay Tom Ogden Paul Zenon Michael Ammar Brian Brushwood Jay Sankey Daniel Garcia Diamond Jim Tyler in NO specific order. As soon as the above guys release a book or video, I know I will be getting good stuff. Also, Asad's card sleights are so...

    Good magic book suggestions?

You guys know all the awesome stuff Dynamo and David Blaine do? Great right? But I wanted to buy some books which will introduce me better to the sleight-level instead of just performance level. So intead of them, can you guys recommend me books which will get me on the Eric-Jones-with-coins...

Happy new year to you !! May your next 365 days are as 'happening' as the previous 12 months, and may your next 52 weeks be the happiest!

    Practice time.

See, when that force comes into practising something you love as in MAGIC, that force just makes things unnecessarily boring and text-book-like. I mean, cardistry requires a lot of practice, a LOT more than magic sometimes! But as soon as it becomes, "I HAVE to do this, this is my practice...

    Practice time.

A simple yes/no question... Hasn't it ever EVER happened that you had to force yourself to do the exercising? I mean it definitely did good to your body I presume, forcing yourself to do the correct thing, but still, since it is a SIMPLE yes/no question...

Saturday Night Contest - Resolutions for 2018

2017 was a humongous year for my magic-self. Well, I had been practising for years...and every time some teacher asked me to show something to my class and I would think that "Yes! Now everybody will be talking about me! Everybody in school will know I am a magician! They will refer to me as...

    Practice time.

Sometimes TOO much practice may even have adverse effects! I remember how someone here (most prolly @ChristopherT ) told once that practising sleights is like weight-lifting. If we do too much of it, it damages the tissues and DOES NOT give them the time required to strengthen. I have seen that...

What are the flourish names that The Virts perform in their videos?

I have no idea why, but after reading all the replies one by one, yours one at the last, just cracked me up! :D

    Practice time.

See, I don't actually count the number of hours I devote to magic. That makes magic seem kinda boring...and learning magic is supposed to be fun. I mean, I have the deck CONSTANTLY in my hand while I am studying, watching T.V., going somewhere, etc. So ultimately I end up practising the whole...

"Can I flip the card over?"

To be completely honest, if someone WANTS to be a douchebag, you have nothing to do. It all boils down to your presentation skills and management. If they wanna see the card, most prolly you have accidentally indicated there's something fishy going on. OR another reason maybe your patter HEAVILY...
