    Erdnase Hero or Villain?

You owe me that diet Coke, Mr. England. I spit mine out when you made me laugh.

    Help With Choosing Books

I've got an interesting post you might want to read. Before you click on the link, make sure you fully understand what you're saying and see if you can imagine how it comes across. Then FULLY read this post and understand the direction from which the post was written. Once you've read that...

    Who is Erdnase?

It's still a likely conclusion which is just as plausible as a single author.

    Who is Erdnase?

Could've been. Or atleast, the book was written with two or more people. Certain context clues can lead us to this conclusion, like the following quote from the SWE Shift:

    Multiple Shifts

Buy Card Control by Arthur Buckley. I use the Vernon Multiple Shift, it's taught in the book. There's several taught in there to be honest, and it's a great book to have anyway. It's 9-10 dollars and available in a dover reprint.

Chad Nelson's Liberation of the Fingers

I like the way it looks but for the amount of practice time it takes to perfect compared to easier, better looking moves, it isn't worth it. I guess you could use it as a force or a control, but those are limited in capabilities. It's not that versatile of a move.

Chad Nelson's Liberation of the Fingers

It won't get you mileage, that's why you buy a book. It'll give you a bunch of crap effects, a few flourishy alright looking ones, and nothing else. I've learned over the course of the last few months that if you want to truly take your magic further, invest in a book.

Chad Nelson's Liberation of the Fingers

Worse. He took a good flourish (S shaped lepaul spread) and made it harder, slower, and uglier (His riffle off the thumb lepaul).

    Help With Choosing Books

Then run it by her and see what she can get for a discount, assuming she can on any of those. They're not the typical books on magic you find in a library or bookstore. Clearly you didn't read what I said either. If you spend 5 hours a day on it, you're either overpracticing a move or you think...

Chad Nelson's Liberation of the Fingers

He's certainly ordered atleast 300. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't need to have a re-run.. He just lost one customer after he proclaimed that the card through glass isn't taught on there, but I have my own method.

Chad Nelson's Liberation of the Fingers

Are you ever going to release it? That was the only effect I liked or couldn't figure out from the trailer, to be honest. Otherwise, I thought it was him trying to put out material to make a DVD like he was low on cash. EDIT: Damnit. The only good thing on there was the card through...

    Help With Choosing Books

Trust me when I say it's easy to learn stuff pretty quickly. And no offense, but I don't think you perform it well from the way you sound. You keep acting like you can just breeze through material like it's nothing... You just seem cocky, with all the talk of learning stuff pretty quickly...

    Help With Choosing Books

A lot of people do. Just pay 5 dollars more for an Erdnase edition which doesn't have any mistakes. Stop being cheap. If you're truly dedicated an extra 5 dollars won't matter considering what you'll have gained if you follow through with Erdnase. Besides Erdnase, any 1 book on that list you...

Where can I learn "Roll Over Aces?"

It depends on which one. Try these sources: -The Complete Works of Derek Dingle -Card Secrets of Bruce Cervon More Sources EDIT: DAMNIT. I hate when people post what I post while I'm typing my post so it looks like my post is a copycat of their post when really my post is my own post...

Would you ever cheat in a card game?

Somewhat on the subject, but I think it'd be hilarious if Paul Wilson, Jason England, Richard Turner, and Steve Forte all joined the World Series of Poker. Just to see what'd happen :P.

Dai Vernon: A Biography It's available in the "Books" section at http://www.store.dananddave.com , but I'm not sure about MJM Magic, I rarely visit that site. Also, when you're asking questions, do you mind using proper grammar? At times, it is difficult to understand you when you use...

    Help With Choosing Books

NO. Don't listen to Redi on that one. He's a good guy and he knows his stuff when he's suggesting things, but get either the 2nd or 3rd one. AKA Annotated Erdnase or the Pocket Bible Edition of Erdnase. The 1st one, the dover reprint, has mistakes throughout the book. The 4th one, the Wesley...

    MJM Magic

RCT by Ed Marlo is full of material that GREATLY varies in difficulty. Some of it I can do in my sleep and some I won't even look at for a while. You're already getting The Paper Engine and ECT, and you currently have RRTCM. You don't NEED another resource. Frankly, another resource would just...

Would you ever cheat in a card game?

Wrong. Only gingers have no soul. <- Fact. Put Erdnase down and watch an episode or two of South Park :)
