The problem is we are looking at this as a magic show when really it is an old school hidden camera show.

My house few times a month when I bust out the smoker and invite people over. Texas BBQ beer and close up magic. We do it in the smoker season so from like the end of Feb to the middle of Nov. Not sure anyone would want to watch it though.

Why would you go with a gimmick first thing when you can learn so much more from Bobo book or the Eric Jones videos? Besides there are better and stronger coin gimmicks out there.

Pretty much everyone is carrying this. If you get the Penguin Live Lectures you can buy this one on top of those so all of your downloads are together. Vanishing Inc has it as well. Pretty much all the major online magic shops are going to be carrying these lectures.

I just watched the video for the book and the effect they were demoing I knew the card as well by watching the guy. Guys who know some mentalism should be able to see what he is teaching as well just from the demo.

I would like to add the mentalism section from the Amateur Magician's Handbook. I know more than a few older guys who got their start from that section of the book.

Look up the april 2013 issue of Genii magazine. In it Dani DaOrtiz goes over his physiological fan force using just a quick flash of a card fan.

It took me longer to learn cold reading then it did card and coin slights. Mentalism is a whole different animal. When a magician starts learning mentalism, they kinda have to forget the magic they know to learn how to really work in the medium of mentalism.

What I was trying to say was, why even have the coins in play. The coin effect I was talkong about is from Daryl. No cards no funny math with just pennies and dimes. Why would a mind reader need a deck of cards. You are trying to convince them you can read minds not do card tricks. Look up Craig Browning books on mentalism. Look at his post here on the forum. Look at steerpike's post on mentalism. It's not something you pick up quickly.

Your presentations have to fit you and your charter. Many of my effects are stories that use magic as the illustration of the story. I'm a story teller who doesn't even seem to know that the magic is happening, it just happens. BTW youtube would really be the last place I look for presentations...

The card stuff is not mentalism. Those are card tricks.
