Do you know what the card is? If not, you could go into a triumph routine. By cutting the face up card to the bottom (which should be simple enough because of the buckle in the deck.), then you are ready for a card to be selected.

Agreed. Where you live in the world will affect your deck too. In Canada, my decks stay in great shape aside from wear - until the cold hits. Then all the decks buckle and bow in the middle as they warm up/cool off. They eventually fix themselves (card clips help the most). But your environment...
