Saturday Night Contest - Roundtable: Zach Heath

Hope everyone is having a great summer weekend! This week, we wanted to host a new roundtable discussion podcast with Zach Heath, creator of Circuit - his debut effect on theory11 released just two weeks ago. Each time we do this, we invite theory11 members around the world to submit questions...

Can anyone point me in the direction...

Of course! This effect is called Distortion - actually one of the very first releases by theory11 six years ago! http://www.theory11.com/tricks/distortion.php

    Is it just me?

The card handling in this film is quite exceptional, without a doubt! The hand doubles were Dan and Dave Buck.

    Is it just me?

Now You See Me is a very fun heist film, but I'm happy to report that magic is very much a part of it from start to finish. The first 20 seconds of the movie is actually a close-up shot of cardistry (with Monarchs!). Throughout the film, magic is shown in a very positive, fun, high-energy way -...

    Is it just me?

The movie opens tonight in most theaters in the USA, but the international release (in other countries) is a little bit later. For example, in Singapore and Australia, the movie opens on June 6th. For those fortunate to be able to see the movie this week, check out our NYSM contest just...

Vacation to New York.. Tour Suggestions.

If possible, I'd highly recommend seeing Steve Cohen's show at the Waldorf Astoria. It's called Chamber Magic - he performs every weekend in the Waldorf Tower. In addition to being an entertaining, GREAT show, it's also inspiring to see magic presented in such an elegant, formal, prestigious...

    Circuit by Zach Heath

Hey guys, we recommend getting the size closest to your middle or ring finger size. We're definitely going to offer additional sizes in the weeks ahead, but in the interim, Zach teaches how to perform Circuit with just about ANY ring in the DVD, so even if you don't end up using the ring...

Saturday Night Contest - Passing Through

Really GREAT submission all around - of all styles and genres of magic. Very impressive, from cards to coins and rubberbands and beyond. After review of all entries this week, we had to select just one to be the winner. It was no easy task, as many of your entries this weekend were creative...

    Circuit by Zach Heath

The ring is totally examinable, and can be examined just before and immediately after the effect.

    Circuit by Zach Heath

Hard to say without seeing the other ring you are making (and not revealing the mechanics of Circuit). If I had to guess, it probably WOULD work without alteration with your other ring, but I can't say for sure without seeing it (or exposing Circuit).

Saturday Night Contest - Passing Through

Either way is totally fine - penetrating into, or out of, anything - is fair game.

Saturday Night Contest - Passing Through

Correct - it needs to be a new effect created and posted for this contest.

Saturday Night Contest - Passing Through

Hey guys, Just yesterday, we released a brand new effect from Zach Heath called CIRCUIT. The effect is extremely visual - with just a shake, a ring visually jumps from finger to finger. If you haven't seen it yet, stop what you're doing and watch the preview. Your head might explode. It looks...

Saturday Night Contest - The Art of Card Throwing

No length requirement - just looking for the most skill demonstrated. Accuracy is the most important factor - so, as one example, your video could show you throwing a card into a hat many times in a row. The more impressive, the greater your chance of winning!
