    Negative Feedback From People

Actually the cool thing is that this year, colleges and schools are starting to change. They've started caring about GPAs less, and are now looking for people skills (obviously you gotta keep them up, and they are still very important, but colleges are now looking into people skills a lot more...

What would you like to learn?

Ways to accidentally piss off a magician... or a spectator... :D

    Negative Feedback From People

I see what you mean, an yes there are a ton of outliers, mostly people who have had there self confidence torn from them, but for the most part, we try and incorporate them into our groups to make them feel welcome. Probably the biggest reason for this is after watching those suicide and...

    Some questions

Welcome! If it is an original trick, idea, routine, even presentations, etc. I generally right it down because A) It helps me remember, and B) I can easily look at it and change it if I need to. I used to write everything down in a book, but I have started to simply put it on a word document...

    The Biddle Magic

Good performance! The only thing I would say is slow it down. Put some filler in it. You need to make the transposition as different from the vanish as possible. Put the deck in the box, or in the spectator's hands Also, instead of controlling it to the 4th via overhand shuffle & that awkward...

    Need help with routine

Lol I didn't even notice. My bad :D Reading through the post now, I made a ton of typos.

    Need help with routine

Yeah, a routine with a great presentation is good. However, a beginner mistake that I was guilty of, and I am sure a lot of other people were too, is that we made it boring. If it just keeps jumping to the top with no real change or presentation, it just becomes a card trick without any real...

    Negative Feedback From People

Oh yeh don't get me wrong, there are still a ton of Jerks and Bullies and stuff. However, it is much easier for high schoolers today to fit in with people today than it probably was for people in earlier... eras? And beyond that, it's significantly easier to deal with said Jerks & Bullies today...

    Negative Feedback From People

Lol I'm not entirely sure what this means.

    Odyssey Adaptability

So I am super interested in Odyssey. It is blowing my mind. However, as someone who likes to adapt a trick to my style the fullest, I have to know, is it adaptable? Like, can I adapt it to do more than what is shown in the DVD, or is it just one of those tricks where I can more or less do it...

    Need help with routine

I'm assuming all but a couple of these were taught poorly by random YouTube channels? Or someone like DisturbReality or that pig cake guy? Nothing wrong with learning from YouTube if it is taught the correct way and by the right people. Most of this stuff is just meh, unless you really really...

    1 Card Switch

Hey guys, what about one without the deck though. Specifically asking for an ID card.

    1 Card Switch

But I don't want it to be signed. Also, I really think the first switch is easier lol.

    Deal Practice Contraption

Fair enough, but all I'm saying is if you are doing a top card push off for all your deals, but are swiveling for a second, it might cause a problem.

    Negative Feedback From People

I honestly feel so bad for you! I'm glad you made it through it and are still here with us today! I truly hope you can get through stuff! Anyways, Middle School is horrible, just because everyone is a piece of immature scum with no social etiquette. However, In my own experience, I have found...

    Deal Practice Contraption

That's not what this is though. Go record yourself doing a swivel deal, than jumping into a push off bottom deal. It will look extremely awkward, and even worse in a magic trick. And if you get caught in a card game, your toast.

    Negative Feedback From People

I have to disagree with this. That doesn't really happen, at least not anymore. I perform a ton at my high school, and once I started working on my presentation, I didn't get any sort of those reactions anymore. Furthermore, I have found that once you break into high school (in today's time)...

    Deal Practice Contraption

Switching a grip is ridiculously obvious though. To a regular spectator, it will stand out. To an experienced card player, it will be blatantly obvious.

    Deal Practice Contraption

I think it is very important to keep things consistant. Otherwise, it is very obvious what you are doing. If you are swiveling, you have to swivel on every deal. If you are pushing, you need to push on every deal.
