    Layperson guesses

Ha, that's a great reaction. I love it when people start rubbing the ink on the card to see if it comes off or changes. I would say this is a good reaction. imo

    Layperson guesses

I don't know if I would agree. When you see a magician do something, do you not wonder "How on earth is that done?" When you see something like the preview for Smoke, doesn't your mind spin through its database of ideas on how this could be possible? I would submit that this is the same with...

    Layperson guesses

If anyone ever guesses the method, I find myself no longer doing that trick. I hear a lot about magnets when I levitate stuff. But I think most people inherently need to have a solution or something to attribute the effect to. In my stage show, I play off this a bit. I do an effect (by...

This is kind of a weird question

A great value for your dollar, get On the Spot by Gregory Wilson. Fantastic, practical routines. There is even a watch steal, if you have never learned one. No cards, all impromptu.

    Luke Jermay - Buyer Beware

Sometimes it's nice to have a bit of faith in someone, and give them the benefit of the doubt. Dan Sperry on America's Got Talent

That was fantastic! Great presentation. I liked that he brought it down, it kept it very captivating. Loved the music choice. Sharron's reaction to Howie was hilarious. The poor guy has a genuine phobia tho.

t11.bulletin - New Site Launched + New Products

Agreed. I think it's like the first time my Dad shaved his mustache. At first I thought he looks totally strange. But then as time went by I realized how much better the new look was. I think a big part of it is comfort. The new design is very sleek.

Their new trick filtering features allow you to very easily click filter by downloadable, and then if you like, even adjust by price. It's brilliant really.

    Tarantula by Yigal Mesika

I'm not a huge fan. Don't get me wrong. Brilliant idea, and it works really well (though my first one broke, Yigal was fantastic about replacing it). However, Unless you specifically need a motorized reel for an effect, I wouldn't really bother. You can do all of the same effects with...

    Blog Entry question...

Richard mentioned that it was a feature that they are trying to disable. So probably not worth going to too much trouble with. I accessed my blog settings by clicking "settings" under my username, and on the left, at the bottom of "My Settings" it says "Blog": That takes you to blog settings...
