I would add a vote to checking out restaurants for work. If you are good enough to get the job, then it is a fantastic setting to work on your presentation, character, routines, misdirection etc. You need a few good sets to get started (see above thread link), but it is a great place to start.

Just a tip for the collage:Use every single space and try to make it 3 dimensional a bit. Perhaps make a card house come off the page. You could use mini cards if your page was smaller. You could also try splitting a card and having it come off the page like that (you could burn it that way...
