    Static by David Jade help!

JBC, Not quite sure what your question is. My suggestion would be to wait until it arrives in the mail first, then absolutely feel free to contact us or post if you have any specific questions thereafter. Have fun with it - this is a great effect.

Saturday Night Contest : Anything But a Castle

Sure - photo's are preferred but a video would suffice.

Saturday Night Contest : Anything But a Castle

Sure - you can use as many decks as you'd like, in whole or in part, including the boxes or without. Your choice.

Saturday Night Contest : Anything But a Castle

Plausible. The original idea was to create a 3D object of some sort - it could be a chair, a lamp, a dog, a robot, a dragon, a lifesize statue of Chris Kenner, etc. The sky is the limit. I'm sure that you could come up with plenty of unique, creative objects with playing cards that are flat, so...

Saturday Night Contest : Anything But a Castle

Yessir - you can use glue, tape, paperclips, safety pins, John Stamos, or Super Chef Bobby Flay. Whatever materials you need. The only rule is that the structure must be made of cards - like a card castle - but the structure must be anything but a castle.

Saturday Night Contest : Anything But a Castle

Just to give credit where credit is due, we got the idea for tonight's contest from the incomparable Larry Fong, magic and photography extraordinaire. This should be a fun one!

    Close-up on Letterman

For those who may have not yet seen it, we posted our extended video interview with Ammar last night in the media section. It's 10 minutes long and touches on his thoughts on this week, his performance, his material selection, and more: http://media.theory11.com/3364

I need a card trick to teach 10 year olds

My recommendation would be something simple, direct, and very easy to learn. They're 10 years old, which means about 3rd or 4th grade. Perhaps something like Invisible Reverse - or even a basic effect using a key card. It should be something very easy, with a method that is very straightforward...

NEW 1-on-1 : The Spello Change by Jesse Feinberg

No difference at all between the two methods, although one version magically makes your wallet $10 lighter than the other.

NEW 1-on-1 : The Spello Change by Jesse Feinberg

Jesse Feinberg makes his theory11 debut with a powerful, visual masterpiece - The Spello Change. Cryptic writing on the back of an ordinary card case slowly and visually changes to reveal a spectator's selection. Spello Change was recently performed by Lu Chen on national television and can be...

    Close-up on Letterman

I wouldn't consider it rude - that was not the feeling that Steve got nor Ammar when I was there earlier this week. When people ask me if I thought Dave sounded sarcastic or if he tried to have a witty response to everything - I would say hell yes! That's who Letterman is. He's not just a...

Just posted a video with Steve Cohen in the media section discussing his performance on tonight's show: http://media.theory11.com/3361

    Tom Isaacson

Tom is certifiably a worker - his primary focus is in performing (not teaching), and he is very easy to find at private events and parties in Hollywood and the northeast. Currently he's in Connecticut - we got together with him and Michael Ammar in New York City this past Monday night.

    Close-up on Letterman

Just got back from the set - Steve NAILED it. Perfect. Great performance. He only performed one effect, but it was simple, direct, powerful, and memorable. He worked hard all week in preparation for it, and all went off without a hitch. Be sure to watch it tonight on CBS. Very excited and happy...

    Late Show Close-Up Magic Week

Just posted a quick diary vid with Ammar in the Media section - we recorded it literally 10 minutes after the performance on Letterman. We'll be posting an extended interview with Ammar on Friday night right when the episode airs - don't miss it. In the extended clip, he talks about the...

    Close-up on Letterman

Based on interaction in Ammar's performance, Letterman was upbeat and seemed legitimately interested. He discussed magic a good bit with Ashton Kutcher (the second guest on Friday). He certainly made sure he was involved in the performance (asking to examine things, touch literally everything)...

    Close-up on Letterman

This was very exciting. We got to the theater yesterday with Ammar around 5:00. By 5:45, everyone was seated and the show was about to start. At 6:00 on the dot - not a second later, Dave walked out and started the show. The theater is much smaller than it looks on television! In reality, the...

Saturday Night Contest - Do You Remember?

One way to make video processing quicker is to also upload to a site like www.drop.io. It converts your videos almost instantly, so you don't have to worry about it converting in time for anything. YouTube is usually pretty quick, but if you're in a rush, Drop.io could save the day. Congrats to...
