Street Magic - Tricks, Advice, Experiences, and Questions

I love the idea of "gorilla" type magic where it happens unexpectedly. That was part of the premise behind that TV show T.H.E.M. Great premise, but I don't think they should have revealed the hidden cameras. lol

    Foundations by Jason England

Random side note, Jason is coming to Edmonton for a lecture next month. I'm super pumped.

Saturday Night Contest - A FREE Trip To Magic-Con 2010

A Magic-Con Haiku Well, I will be honest. I am torn. To one degree, I want to go to Magic-Con so bad. When it was announced, I was following it closely and began to drop hints to my wife. As the time approached, my wife was sick of me talking about it and we talked about the reality, that...

    Sciomancer Deck Design

Very nice. I still like it a lot.

    An interesting situation...

If you know any peeks like the cenre tear, you simply say something like "It's okay because we are not even going to use the deck - keep it" then get a piece of paper and pen nearby (if you are at school, that stuff will likely be readily available). Have them write it down (to assure they don't...

    Your "arsenal" for a party...

New Idea: Tips by Magicians on Effects

So perhaps something like the Pressure forum would be useful, or what Penguin Magic has with their private forums section?

t11.bulletin - BE KIND CHANGE by Tony Chang

    Looks really smooth. Nice work.

    Wedding

Just mainly use stuff that you really enjoy doing, and you are really good at. You don't want to be trying new stuff at this point in the game. You already know what effects you like and you are good at. Good luck! justin

    We Need Books!

There are some great comments already. Why reinvent the wheel? Part of T11's goal is to make magic easy to learn and accessible to everyone. Books don't achieve that to the same extent. One can learn from books, and there may be benefits exclusively to that, and it may even come in the...

    Two extremes, one industry.

Just because you may know what palming is, or what a double lift is, or even the Zarrow shuffle, that in no way shape or form means that you: a) can perform it well, let alone perfectly b) know all there is to know about the sleight. A good example of this (non theory 11) was the Virts...

    Chronic | Kevin Parker

Nice idea Dee. That would work.

    Chronic | Kevin Parker

I was able to review this prior to release, and I have to say, there is some nice work here. It is very simple and straight forward, but (I know it's becoming cliche to say but) it has lots of other applications. I will be posting my review soon. Sadistic has worked very well for me the few...

So, you are meeting this girl for the first time...

Just FYI Sankey is married and has two daughters. Just be yourself and show some confidence in who you are. If you do magic, and they want to see something, then go ahead and show something. Don't try and use it as a pick up tool, just show them your favorite and best stuff - just one or two...

    Modernized Classic

Great idea. What I'm wondering, though, is what part was "modernized" and how so? ;) What was obsolete about other versions/methods? :p

    Amazing Trick

Hey. This is not an exposure site. It's not good form to ask how tricks are done. However, I see that you are new and probably don't know (and it this needs to be moved by a mod). The trick you saw was an Axtel drawing board. It's a great effect for sure. j

    A Free Trick!

I'll take a look if you still need.

Thought of Card In Envelope Plot

Kevin Parker just released Chronic which contains a thought force that could be used to accomplish this. justin

T11 members:: What magic effects are you performing?

I always do Jokers wild. I have been really enjoying the changes I make to my ACR, so I use it a lot too. I also enjoy my patter for biddle. And my latest/current 'toy'/bit is Little Hand. Always catches them off guard.
