Mnemonica by Juan Tamariz - Reprinted

Hahaha the amount of work I put in to pull off that single trick! Now I just to have them do a cross cut force and it's usually a lot stronger, or just name a number between 1-10. Either of those are the same effect in the specs eyes.

What was the first trick you ever learned?

When I was getting started, so was magic being revealed on the internet. All that was available were basics like ashes on palm, 2 in the hand one in the pocket. The first trick I ever purchased, once I learned there were actual online shops because there's no physical stores where I live, was...

Mnemonica by Juan Tamariz - Reprinted

I’m pretty fluent in Mnemonica. It’s super killer. But to become proficient at it will take a few years of messing with the deck every day. You will also need to learn to be good at estimation for a lot of effects. (Cutting exactly or close to any number of cards)

    Unique Personality While Performing...

There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with copying Blaine or Copperfield or anyone's performing style when you're first getting into magic/ learning a new trick. It's super cringe worthy, but that's how you learn to perform, by watching your hero's. Eventually you'll realize that it isn't for you and...

    Good books for mentalism

13 steps to mentalism is kind of the "essential", Banachek has his PSY series, volumes 1,2 and 3. The mind and magic of David Berglas, but it's expensive and out of print. That's really as far as I got before I decided it wasn't for me. Good luck!

    Busking?

I started busting when I was 15, made maybe $25/h. By the time I was 22 I was making $150/hour. This is a small pitch with 15-20 min shows. If you want to get good fast, the best thing you can do is get out and busk. :)

    People Are My Problem

As a full time professional and an introvert, I love the art of magic dearly but there are weekends by the end when I've done so many shows and I'm so worn down that it's completely reasonable to me why so many artists are depressed and commit suicide. You're doing what you love and always...

    AACAAN

I think it's a better idea to find the method best suited to you and if you have to alter one, fine, but your personality is the most important thing. Yann Frisch entire fism act was moves based on character.

David Blaine beyond magic Jennifer Lawrence

I would say if you want to learn an ACAAN buy Mnemonica and start learning mem deck work.

    AACAAN

I personally would say if you're creating with the soul purpose of selling you're doing it wrong. That's why there is so much crap on the market. Create something because you truly want to perform it, if it turns out it's not already on the market, well sell it a few years later after you've...

    AACAAN

I use 2 ACAANs, Asi's for informal and Juan's "a card and a number" from Mnemonica for more formal occasions. The latter works better theatrically. Juan performed a version of it on "the best of magic".
