    Mechanic-Daniel Madison/Foundations-Jason England

Daniel teaches his own technique and encourages you to develope your own. He goes into detail about the psychology behind his techniques but really only teaches his techniques. Mechanic is a great DVD set if you want to learn what Daniel does and believe me it's good stuff. Jason on the other...

    How did you do that?

I like RealityOne's advice of reinforcing what happened in the effect then deflecting. I always say "with a lot of practice".

    prophet question

I wouldn't say that prophet uses a gimmick at all. It is an impromptu effect that could be done with a borrowed deck if the person lending the deck doesn't mind you tearing a corner from a card. So to answer your question (even though I do not own extreme burn) no they do not because prophet...

    Octopus?

It was just released Friday night. Unless someone picked up a copy at their release event in person a little over a week ago it's probably still waiting to be shipped. Watch the preview video. It gives a pretty good look into the contents.

Saturday Night - Roundtable with Michael Herp

    1) Is there a specific instance you can remember when you turned an accident into a flourish? For example a packet slipped from your grip but ended up doing a cool flip and landing in your hand. After you try to recreate that fumble on purpose as a new move. 2) Has flourishing...

The Proper Way To Deal With Heckler

First of all it is George Carlin not George "Carling". Second that is not a joke it's an improvised line that I'm sure many stand up comics and other live performers have used well before Hicks or Carlin. And Leary didn't steal from Hicks. He dealt with some of the same subject matter but he...

best opener effects to do ?

I usually go with a transpo that involves a visual color change or one that happens in the spectators hands if I start with cards. If I don't start with cards I almost always do Digital Dissolve. That's just what has worked for me.

    Teetering On Magic's Edge

Judging by the response you've been getting to this thread it sounds to me like you belong. I have a question for you though. What is the "Magic Community"? Is it a special place where only famous magicians or people who have been on TV hang out? I like the advice RealityOne gave you. Check out...

    Beginner Question :O

I don't own Genesis but I'm guessing he said want. I do know that you hold the deck in you opposite hand. In other words if you are right handed the deck should be held in your left hand. If you are left handed... Well, I'll let you figure that out. Cheers!
