    webOS apps

Palm has recently released its PDK, and it allows you to port iOS apps very simply. Many apps take less then two days to a finished port. I know if theory 11 released a Palm app I would snap it right up, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Any chance of seeing such an app? Any others interested?

    Triumph!

So I have been investigating the triumph plot lately and attempting to work out a method and presentation that is right for me. I stumbled across this performance and I must say it is very impressive. http://revver.com/video/1197872/triumph-triunfo/ Anyone here know of any novel approaches to...

Who here is good at Math? (Faros and Stacked Decks)

It would not take years. My sister can already name the numbers in sequence when starting from the ace of spades, going through the whole deck. But we need a little help working from a card not the ace.

And here is a picture as well.

Who here is good at Math? (Faros and Stacked Decks)

I have a Math Problem for you guys. I took a deck, arranged it ace through king, Spade Diamond Club Heart, and then performed four perfect out faros (out means the top and bottom cards are retained). The result is a sequence which looks random, but cannot be as it is generated by a...

    Open Source Magic

I know you cannot copyright a method, which is why I came up with this solution. A creative commons license is respected not because of legal clout, it has none. A creative commons license is respected due to simple respect. Also I think people misunderstand the exposure problem. The...

    Open Source Magic

Okay so. I know many of you have been as annoyed as I have been at the amount for exposure going on on the Internet. Tricks that are the result of hard work by magicians are revealed on YouTube as soon as they come out, resulting in not only a loss of revenue for the creator, but also a bunch...

    Packet trick sleight...

If you need to have it appear reversed in the center and you own the Trilogy, use the Grave Turnover from Hoffzy Osbourne. Simply move the desired card to the bottom and perform the move. It should naturally appear face up in the center of the five cards. If it is not at center a little tweaking...

    Double backed gaff cards

No the double backer is not necessary, just cleaner. ;) And yes, a signed the card makes it THAT MUCH COOLER.

    Double backed gaff cards

Easy Mystery Card. You select a "random" card (the double backer) and place it on the table, stating that you are not going to look at it or touch it. It is the Mystery Card. Have the spec select a card and replace it, then you control it to the top. Pick up the Mystery Card, put it in top of...

    Best Pass Surrounded?

If you need a pass specificly, meaning you must transpose two halves of the deck, then the only one I know of where angles are not really a problem is the Losing Control by Lee Asher. That takes a lot of performance confidence though, and can fail if you are nervous. As said before, the double...

    African-American Magicians?

FYI. There are lots of black Dominicans. Just as there are black Amaricans and black French people, and black everything else. Also Black magician right here. ;)

"I know how you did that!" - Oh really?

That happens to me. I say, "I know isn't it cool? Actually gamblers use this to cheat. Watch. They have the Ace lost in the deck, but they need to deal it to their partner, so they do the move, *riffle* and it comes to the top!" etc. From there I usually go to the invisible palm or...

    Idea - Magic in Beta

Well waisting time is a hobby of mine, and I was not planning on spending any money on it. I think I might post a tutorial for one of my moves here and see if this website will work as well.

    Idea - Magic in Beta

youtube is in no way layman free, encurages magicians to reveal others methods, and discurages magicians from revealing their own for fear someone will steal it and give them no credit. Proper crediting is also rare on youtube.

    Idea - Magic in Beta

I have been mulling this over for a while. What if a site was created, (Magic in Beta) in which magicians of any level of experience could post tutorials (video or pdf) for slights of their own creation, and receive feedback on the slight itself, just as software is beta tested for glitches. I...

    Erdnase Question(s!)

I appreciate the encouragement to learn something else, but as I previously stated, I have plenty of practical moves at my disposal, and I continue to work on them. That said the one-handed shift is really cool. Is there anyone who can help me with it? Oh, and thanks for the tip Sticky.
