    Five Speed - Advice

Agreed. This is where people mess the trick up- at the beginning. If the spectator thinks something is going to happen with their chosen card then they can guess the ending. If you sell the fact that you're not going to use their card and move on to another trick, even if they forget their...

    What's With All The Lefties?

Very interesting topic. I'm completely right handed, I can't do crap with my left hand but for some reason, ever since I started doing magic I held the deck in my right hand. It wasn't until I got DVDs and books that I was like, wait wtf is going on, why are they holding the deck that way? It...

The Ishkabibble Sandwich by Eric Jones

Great review, definitely on my list. I know this is kind of late but, if I am able to learn Dan and Dave's flourishes and techniques being a left handed magician, you can do anything.

    A Lesson

No matter how many times I've watched that performance, and no matter how well I know his techniques, Tommy Wonder still manages to misdirect me over and over again.

    Picking an Audience

Typically, I choose no more than a group of 4. From my experience, hecklers are usually ones surrounded by a bunch of their friends. So I would avoid very large groups. Also use some common sense - if the person is in a rush, or on the phone or clearly engaged in a deep conversation, they...

Diagonal Palm Shift - Jason England

Why not do both? I feel you can truly master this technique if you were to: read the method, practice it, and when you feel you have a good grasp on it, purchase the 1 on 1 and pick up bits and pieces that compliment and advance the technique. This obviously does not apply to everyone...

    Real Nice Cyril

Cool pic. Never thought I'd see Daniel and Cyril together at a bar.

    David Blaine Double Lift

Just one caveat, Its better to perform this using a fairly new-brand new deck. I would not recommend doing it with a broken down deck. As you learn this move you'll know when the deck has reach its limit.

    1-on-1 // Blueprint By :: Chris Kenner

One question. Is the way he controls the card taught in the one on on?

Why Are You Interested In Magic?

I remember a teacher of mine doing a great trick which puzzled the hell out of me. What bothered me even more was when he said "You weren't watching my hands". I remembered after that I went on a mission to learn just that one trick. Not to be a magician, but figure out the answer to the puzzle...

    Fan Control - Joel Paschall

Quick question, this will seal the deal for me. Can the spectator truly place the card anywhere in the deck?

History of Magic - From BBC

I thought I would share a BBC video posted on YouTube about the history of close up magic. There are more History of Magic videos such as History of Levitation, Dissappearance, etc. They are very entertaining and interesting to watch as you learn about the history of misdirection and all that...

    5 Speed by Chris Kenner

Not only is there ~5 Wow factors, but by the time you reveal their card and they flip out, I always hear: "Dude, that is honestly the best trick I have ever seen!"

    5 Speed by Chris Kenner

I am not quick to jump and purchase a trick right off the bat, but this was one of the very few that completely stumped me. Glad to hear I am not the only one who purchased it for its price and enjoyed it.

    5 Speed by Chris Kenner

Chris Kenner's tricks always look impossible and even jaw-dropping. But one thing I've learned doing or learning magic is the more amazing or impossible it looks, the harder it is to handle. This trick is very fool proof and the card can be signed and handed out at the end for the spectator to...
