    Repeating A Trick

Learn more material, offer to show them something better than the last trick, and hence for a routine that escalates from one trick to another, only to have the spectator more dazed by the next trick, and forget about wanting to see the last one again.

    Do you teach?

This is a very important subject, and very sensitive. Allow me to share my approach to this topic. On the one hand, these are the secrets of the trade that keep this art what it is. On the other hand, the art of magic would die out if new magicians wouldn't learn from the older, and pass on the...

    The Trilogy Live Performances

I recommend that after you pull out the first card and display it between the first pair of aces, use this, your wrist and your hand, to block the rest of the deck while just pushing/spreading over with your left thumb and getting a break.

    A good sandwich effect...

I personally like the two detectives trick for a few reasons... I think it's the short one shown on the S&D movie at the beggining. First of all, it's the first card trick I learnt, second, it's very simple (which suits your request in the main post), and third, it's very versitile and I always...

Help with reversing the bottom card...

Hi there, I would like to ask for any good tips, or to know in which movie there is a good tutorial for this basic move of reversing the bottom card. I mean, I can do it, decently, and all it takes is misdirection basically, but I am sure there is so much more that I could use to help me with...

    Sitting down next to someone...

Hey, what card tricks do you find suit most, or like to do most, in a situation that you are sitting NEXT to someone, for instance on a bench or in a bus or train? Tricks that are less angle sensitive, or can be viewed from the same point of view both by performer and spectator.

    Pumping the crowd up

Or sudgest the idea of applause, not directly at you the first time. For example perform a trick that involves a spectator a bit more that normal, and at the end get them to clap for them. The next trick you do, it will go by naturally and you should get the applause.

    My thoughts on Digital Conviction

I'm a righty, but if you're left handed then try working with the pip closer to you, it will only provide more cover and angle protection. Whoever has this effect will understand me and can develop this idea to suit them.

What's the Point of SUBMIT A TRICK?

If it's a trick with no new slight, just implications of existing ones, then would it stand a chance? Or must there be something 'new' to it, beyond the presentation?

    Presentation Idea For Biddle Trick

This is just the direction I took the patters I learnt, it's origins are from Oz Pearlman and some other person which I forgot his name.

    Presentation Idea For Biddle Trick

Without reading the whole topic, allow me to share my (similar) patter which I use with this trick, and I get pure success out of. Like you, I also perform the Biddle trick second or third in my routine, with the excuse or after being asked how I do it, so I say "I can only explain half of...

    Mentalism?

Yes, I'm aware how it's hard to explain, that's why I find it hard to understand too. Hence the reason I'm also asking for some links to clips or something showing me some examples of the broad range of mentalism, of course I won't assume those are the limits, but seeing some stuff will...

    Mentalism?

Hi I have a few questions about this area of magic, since all I know it is is to force a card and then it's all patter and performance of some mind reading show. I'm sure there is much more to it and would be interested in seeing some links or clips of live performances... So what is there to...

Tip about AFI from the Avenue DVD

I only saw it now. I don't buy/download every DVD the moment it comes out. I'd be 6 months late if you would have pointed this 'so flippin old and obvious' fact out 6 months ago, but since you didn't I guess I am still on time brother! peace. (:

Quick Question About The Biddle Trick

Too slow is suspicious, just show them the five cards at a natural rate. There is nothing worse than going too fast, them not noticing if their selection was there or not, and being asked to show them the five again.
