I just dug up a first edition of modern coin magic and expert card technique. I did some research and they are legit but I can't find the value of them does anybody know?
And I also found an original 1968 powner edition of the expert at the card table

If MCM and ECT are in good condition with dust jacket, maybe about $50-60. If it was a third edition ECT (which has extra chapters by Vernon and Daley) then maybe I'd be willing to spend a bit more. However, I got my third edition ECT (virtually pristine, dust jacket) for around $30 so they can be found if you bide your time.

The Powner edition of Erdnase is very common so I wouldn't spend more than about $10 on it.

I just realized that my first edition copy of modern coin magic is signed by c.w jones (vice presedent of the society of american magicians and the internatinal brotherhood of magicians, at the time, also he published the book) It says "if you haven't dice now you can use coins" and is dated September 19 1952
Does anybody know how much it is worth now?

I found a couple of first edition copies of Modern Coin Magic for sale for $50. Neither are signed and it is hard to say if C. W. Jones signature would up the value much. If it was signed by Bobo it would probably be worth a bit more but the publisher signing the book is unlikely to increase the value a lot.

If someone like Houdini published it that would be different but there are not a lot of people seeking a Carl Jones autograph. Condition is also extremely important in the book world and it is also important to remember that just because they may be listed at $50 (or what ever price) that may not mean that you will get $50 or you may need to be very patient to get it at any rate.

There is a first edition of ECT listed as Very good with dust jacket in fair condition for $75

It also depends on why you are asking for a value. If it is because you are putting a value on your collection (for insurance purposes or bragging rights) then $50 & $75 are probably pretty on target because in that case it is what it would cost to replace them that is important.

If it is because you want to sell them then it depends on how you plan on doing that. If the retail at $50 then a used bookseller is going to offer somewhere around half that because they have to make a profit reselling them. If you are planning to put them in a auction then there are fee and a % that the auction seller will take.

If you are going to sell them your self then price that similar to what others are asking but remember it make take a long time to find someone that is will to pay that $50. Then again you might get lucky and have someone snatch it up right away.

Many people don't know this but Carl w jones actually wrote modern coin magic but the effects are bobo's. So it's more like "the coin magic of bobo"
And I made a mistake the powner edition is 1958 not 1968
