A Beginner in Escapology

Hey, everybody!
I'm planning on starting to do escapes. Not now, but in the next few years when i'm 17 or 18. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to buy as a beginning escape artist? I was thinking about buying Escapology with Dixie Dooley, and a pair of Smith & Wesson handcuffs to start out. Is this ok for a beginner? Any help is appreciated. Thanks a ton.

Dixy Dooly's videos are great. i would also buy some rope. because those are the easiest and cheapest type of escapes to do.

Search Cannon's great escapes. They have a lot of good teaching material and gimmicked and real restraints. I believe its www.cannonsgreatescapes.com

I may know of a place where someone could get a set of really nice handcuffs when they're ready for them. They're definitely an amazing collector's piece as well as a challenge for the intermediate to expert escapist.
