Seems like a top card cover hermann pass.

Can't say I've ever come across it in print but no doubt someone else will have, it definitely looks like a top card cover hermann pass under one card though. :)

you may do it in ACR, when you are left with their card, and for next move you need a double. So you do this pass and reveal it as a double, and go in the next move that you need double for.

You can also use it for sandwich effects.

Roy Walton has a selection of effects utilizing the cover pass in his books. The Complete Walton Vol. 1 definitely has some in. I've yet to pick up Vol. 2 but I'm hoping to really soon. :)

have you done this for spectators that are burning the deck it seems too complicated to be easy enough to do in the off beat.

for me it is not passable enough (pun intended).

I did it couple of times on my brother who was couple of inches from the deck, he's not 4 btw so he know's whats up ;) And I completely fooled him. I think you gotta find your method to pull this off quick and slick, It's really nice for me plus there's really not a big problem with the angles.

Well, if something is too complicated to be easy, there is a thing called practise that helps usually :p

I would personally rather use "traditional" cover pass rather than this one. Just a personal preference.

Actually I played around with this pass last night and I stand 100% corrected. I think that is could be quite effective for a few different effects, and I was able to get it down in about 10min.

Sorry I seemed critical before just never seen this pass done before.

Thanks
Joe

I think that this is a small variation of Hermann pass. Many have probably came out with it, and because it's so small variation, they have not bothered to publish it on it's own. Perhaps some have offered a brief description of it within some routine that uses it.
