Blindfold Reading

Has anyone seen this
supposedly kids in malaysia practice this.
Most of you probably wont understand what is happening
but basically.
A kid is blindfolded with a piece of cloth. A number of cards with numbers on them are given to him. And just by feel he is able to sense what the number is. The cards are supposedly normal and flat.
I was wondering if anyone has heard of this. anyone from malaysia would be of good help as well i guess. haha
is it the actual thing or is it just another blindfold trick which has people tricked?

thats what i thought as well
but supposedly
it teaches children how to concentrate or something of the same lameness.
My friends who arent into magic says that they have seen this demonstration and what not. But I have some experience with blind folds and its not that hard to see.
I asked one of the instructors if he could show me a video of a kid doing it with face down cards from a shuffled deck. Waiting for a reply!
