As far as a one liner book for magicians / entertainers you can look at Harry Allen's Sleight of Mouth. It has some funny bits in it. Some are raunchy not things I would use due to my style but there is a ton to choose from in it.

Heh, I find I don't need jokes with sponge balls. They are balls and some people will start their own jokes and I find it funnier to act like "oh my, you didn't just go there". They howel because they (or their friend) is the funniest person in the room.

This. I do a lot of busking at night on an outdoor mall full of drunk adults and college kids, and the jokes usually start as soon as I've brought out the second ball and I'm asking someone to hold them. Sometimes they start before that. Sponge balls practically make fun of themselves if you're in front of the right crowd. I tend to let the humor happen organically in my stuff rather than preparing a bunch of jokes in advance because I tend to get better audience reactions that way.
