I put up the following video in order to receive feedback on how to get rid off unnecessary movement from my left thumb. So, if you have any ideas on how to get rid of it, please tell me.

But this move is pretty pointless to use as a control, its angle sensitive. Why not use a sidesteal to the bottom? Its alot less angly.

Do you mean your left or right thumb? I'm assuming you meant your right, but our left. In any case, I can't do the move either and am still practising, so any tips here would be welcomed by me also

I feel there is extra movement in my left right thumb.

Since I don't own the book, I don't know the move, but it looks great to me. I'll be hopefully investing in By Forces Unseen soon in the near future.
