Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make burn gimmicks better?
I have tried time and time again and it is never dark and or just does not come out good or at all.

try a candle. Or something with a lot of smoke. I don't own burn, but in two, he used a lighter which didn't work as well.

how close are you holding it to the flame. Try it from farther where there is more smoke.

ABout how far do you hold it away?

DONT USE A CANDLE! a candle dosn't burn the card very well (it burns the wax)
use a mach or a lightor (works for me)

i hold it at least 2 cm above the top of the flame (lighter)
and it works perfect for me

what type of cards are you using? I ised to use thick european "MODIANO" playing cards and i had the same problem, its a lot easier with bikes and i have always used a zippo

I usually do a pulsing action with the flame to keep it from warping the card. Do this to each section and it should begin to get darker. Just continue to do this to your liking.

I would love to see a performance of one of his Burn effects to see what people have come up with.
