Card Gimmick

I'm a beginner of making Gimmicks, I waste a lot of Cards just by separating the 1 layer from 2 layered paper. Is there a tutorial or tips you may give me to help me figure out this problem?

That's (more or less) how I learned how to peel cards.

Yes, as above I recommend Justin's suggestion to get the Blake Vogt video. It has very helpful information not contained in older sources. You'll likely end up getting vol. 2 also, which is very good too. It tells you how to put the cards back together after you have split them apart.
