Ive been wanting to improve my standard card routine for a while now and id just like to know what effects you guys thought played well with spectators and that don't use any gimmick/trick decks/gaff decks. I prefer to have a solid routine that I can perform when handed a shuffled deck of cards. I don't mind duplicates though as they can be palmed in/out when necessary.

At the moment I am using the following routine:

1-Hot shot
2-A sandwich effect (I vary the ones I perform)
3-An in-the-hands Triumph
4-An impromptu SWAK idea I've been working on.

Is there anything you guys think I can improve on or are there effects you wish me to include/remove?

Without knowing how you're presenting this, there's very little we can go on.

So far I see a pile of tricks who's common factor is cards. How are they linked?

Just do an ACR or multiple revelation routine. They are straightforward and impromptu. It beats jumbling random tricks together.

Chicago opener
French kiss
Ambiguous card
2 card Monte
3 card Monte

To name a few ... again the strength and effectiveness of these all depend on the performance. if performed well they can create some crazy results, especially if you incorporate other effects such as "Smoke" or "VCR Change" for added 'value'.
