Two decks that could be amazing and are surely part of "folk law" especially when you talk about TV series' are
The Big Bang Theory, and for slightly older generation Friends.

Films thinking of ones with many characters like Top Gun.
Or even just a 70's, 80's, 90's as 00's deck??! (Top tv, music and films?!)

Theres a classic tv show called Psych, it's pure gold. Plenty of characters to put on the cards and super fun colors y'all could go with.

How about a Magician's Deck! A deck with all the greats as the court cards such as Penn on top juggling and Teller on the bottom (similar to Superman on top and Clark on bottom) Erdnase could have a blank face holding Expert at the Card Table etc... I have a few other ideas for court cards as well. The Jokers could be the Amazing Jonathan or Piff or even Mac King!

After thinking about it and reading other recommendations, I think a Pirates of the Caribbean deck (and puzzle) would be amazing.
