Different Guardians?

Ok, I went to my usual magic store and bought myself a new deck of guardians just for kicks. When I arrived home, I noticed the back is different. I didn't check the decj in the shop for it's the usual place I buy stuff and "trust" them.

Here are the pictures I took.

Is the stock and finish the same on these cards as the ones sold from theory11?
I have a pack bought from a local magic shop. But then my cousin told me about these ones from walmart so he just decided to buy it. I haven't got a chance to use them yet though.
Is it worth the 4 bucks or should you get the actual theory11 deck?

Hey Guys,

Your magic shop most likely got them direct from USPCC; which are slightly different from the Guardians sold directly here at theory11. We only maintain direct control over the printing and manufacture of decks sold directly by us.

The box design of the decks sold by USPCC is customized to suit distribution in mainstream stores, whereas the decks on the site are intended for magicians (with no mention of theory11 on the box, etc). While quality of both decks should be somewhat comparable, decks available directly through theory11 have much more strict manufacturing specifications.

What magic shop was it? Let them know.

Hope this helps,

Katie

if a magic shop is selling these non theory11 guardians for the same price as the real t11 guardians then i'd have a problem with them.
since the non t11 decks are being sold at walmart for almost half the price...
i'd get your money back or trade it for a t11 marked guardian deck...

Shoot...yeah...I paid the same amount.

I will be more careful next time.

If you go directly to the Bicycle website they have them listed as playing cards, and they give Theory11 credit for the creation of the decks. Just some useful information for a later date. I have not seen them in the regular stores yet where I am, but I have a few of them still not opened. I may buy a deck and compare them...just to check it out.
