I've learned that you squeeze the cards with middle finger/thumb, w/ index on top, then release with only your middle finger. I can't get my thumb to not release, but sometimes, it still flips over. Any tips on how to make it look good?

Probably, we shouldn't be discussing the method. If you have the material just practice until it works! A tip to make it look good: make it look like you're dropping a card and it changes. Also, you could have a problem with over gripping it. Hold it as lightly as you can. Otherwise, cards will tend to spring out, stick and sometimes bend.

Ahh, that might explain a lot. I think I'm over-gripping it, as the cards bend for sure, as well with slight sticking. Thanks!
Just keep your thumb like a steel rod. I use my nail on my middle finger to release. A slight bend is not a bad thing.
