I've heard great things about Sony Vegas http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/products/vegasfamily.asp , but don't take my word for it as I have never used it.

Are you an a Mac or a PC. If you're on a Mac then simply use iDvd. It's easy to use and it works... When I used to use a PC a program I used was called Pinnacle. I thought it was pretty good for it's value and you can make DVD menus. I have sony vegas and it is great i really recommend it it has a vast majority of uses it is great

Guys, Sony Vegas isn't a DVD program. If you want to make the actual DVD, then you can try Sonys answer to that which is called DVD Architect. however if you are after just an editing program then Vegas is good.

Both iDVD and Pinnacle are qood, inexpenisve programs that will do just about everything a novice needs. Neither one is very complicated at all.
