Flourishing Help

Hey guys!
So I've been into card magic for 2 years now and recently some flourishing/cardistry videos around here have caught my attention. So my friend lent me XB recently and honestly the only thing I can get down are the charlier cuts and a few other cuts. And before I started looking into these flourshy videos and DVD's I've learnt a thumb fan before...Atleast I thought I learnt it. From what the DVD shows you're "suppoused" to fan from I guess the starting position as your index and middle fingers if you know what I mean. But my friend who does a good amount of flourishing taught it to me from the pinky and ring finger who works at the shop I buy from. So recently I've tried both ways but obviously my pinky/ring fan looks better then my index/middle fan right now and it's incredibly difficult to get even something that looks like a fan. So if you have any tips to help me out it would be appreciated. And any other DVD's that can give me some help with flourishing would be awesome.

Thanks!

Cardz - I have a similar problem with one-handed fans, my first one-handed fan was the manipulation fan on XB - hence my normal one-handed fan is still not up to scratch. Just keep practicing, it's a lot of work. I have generally found that while magic and flourishing take up roughly equal time, generally people learn one faster than the other, and also, flourishing takes a lot more time to look presentable. Both take roughly equal time to master, and I wouldn't recommend performing with either before that stage, but just performing to a mirror, magic looks presentable sooner than flourishing does.
