So far i've managed to find 9 questions i would liketo ask lay people about magic.

If you had question to ask them, what would it be??

Start with basic questions, then go into more detailed ones.

1) Do you like magic?
2) What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word "magic".
3) What was the coolest trick you've ever seen? On tv/ real life.
4) Describe what a magician looks like in a few sentences.
