Help with Jay Sankey's 'Airtight'

What's up guys,

So I own the manuscript detailing Jay Sankey's effect 'Airtight,' and I've seen it performed by
both Jay himself and some other guy on a magic store's website.

The effect is so cool and unique, and the sleights involved don't seem that complicated at all. I'm itching
to start practicing it.

However, the deck setup is giving me a headache. Every time I try, the balloon breaks..very irritating
and discouraging to say the least.

Anybody have any tips on how to set the deck up? PM me if ya'll have any advice for me, thanks!

Make sure you are using needle in balloon balloons. These balloons are made differently, they are a bit larger and stretchier.

You can't just use 11" balloons that you could pick up at a party goods store?

You might be able to but in Sankeytized Volume 2 he says needle through balloon balloons work the best.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to see if I can pick up those needle in balloon balloons that you just mentioned from
my local magic store.

I'm going to keep trying with the balloons that I have and see if I can actually fit one on without it breaking.

One of the tips I can provide for you is, don't use the full deck. Taking some cards out will make a difference.

@ Ashrei: Thanks, I've noticed that that helps as well.

I picked up some of the needle through balloon balloons and was able to successfully
prep the deck. It took me a bunch of broken/snapped balloons to do so but I did
it nonetheless. There is definitely a knack for prepping the deck in this way.
