Hey there guys and girls of Theory11!

So I know many of you guys do not know who I am. So I want to introduce myself because there are probably a lot of new people since I was here last. My name is Blake Hensley and I am a southeast Michigan based magician. I have done magic from the age of 10 to 17. I stopped around the age of 17 because I had a lot of stuff going on and I kinda lost interest in it. I felt like I needed a little break. But here I am, about to turn 19 this week and I am getting back into magic. I just miss the feeling of performing for people and seeing their reactions. When I pick up a pack of cards and start messing around with them, I start to get that good ol' feeling I used to get. And it is funny because I use to play with cards everyday all day. Even though I haven't been practicing, when I pick up some cards, they feel completely normal and comfortable in my hands and shuffling and doing some flourishes is like second nature now.

But I have been out of the game for a while and wanted to ask what is new? What are some of the new effects out there? What's this mystery box? Is it just a box of decks of cards? It's not even a routine? I mostly do card magic and general close up magic. Just looking to pick up a few new things to get my gears turning again. Oh, and how is everyone doing here? Still some of the old members on here? I hope so. There were some good people on this forum when I was on it regularly.

Spend a few hours on the wire, some good effects there. The insider has become expose now and Mueller doesnt host it.
Some new people broke into the mainstream; Mengel Brothers one of them (tho their stuff comes from Ellusionist). Theory 11's cards got featured in Now You see me with Buck's hands superimposed onto the lead Jesse in one of the scenes. That's big.

I do not know if you are familiar with the elite initiative yet, its pretty cool.

Hey thanks for the reply man. And really? Mueller doesn't host The Insider anymore? What happenes there? I am not familiar elite initiative. Is that the black membership thing? Saw that earlier and was thinking about checking it out. I still have yet to see "Now You See Me". Is it a good movie?

Now you see me is entertaining but you gotta switch your layman mode on if you know what I mean.

Elite system is way better than black club which is basically over-priced cool merchandise and paying for the sake of being able to buy other over-priced stuff (just my opinion). Elite membership is basically you getting points for your contribution (ways to earn are right on the elite page). u can then use the points to get exclusive stuff. Its a really good scheme.

The insider stopped and now theres another web show replacing it called Expose hosted by Gerhart and Andrei.

I really enjoyed Now You See Me, honestly. But you have to go into it thinking it's a heist movie featuring magicians.
